Tips/Things to be mindful of:
- Arms near the body. So we will start by doing some swimming (push off wall/dive under as far as it's comfy) to capture that movement/shape and once your arms complete that first back to body, leave them there as your rise up.
- If we're doing some "laying on the pool floor" type shots always let your belly rise up first/arch your back as you come to the surface if comfy/possible.
- Soft hands - don't clench your hands like fists, kind of feel/let then water flow through them — don't stiffen them
- Pointed toes photograph best (vs flat feet)
- If the pose involves a leg bending motion, always bend the knee/leg closest to the camera
- There will be poses that make your hair fly up - gather hair/flip down with your arm and keep your hands on your body (collarbone/belly)
- We will go through a pose and then, once mastered, often do the same thing with a fabric added.
- Relaxed face / no puffy air-filled cheeks
- To get down you'll have to dump your air, that will result in bubbles but they will settle and you'll be better able to get into position/less buoyant
